Whether you are a competitive golfer or a weekend enthusiast, Butter Brook Golf Club is the area’s finest new championship semi-private golf course. We are committed to providing you with exceptional service as well as an exceptional golf experience.

The course was created on over 210 acres of serene rolling hills, tall pine, beautiful ponds and the babbling Butter Brook which flows directly down the middle of the property. It is conveniently located at the junction of Route 225 and Route 27 on the Westford, Carlisle and Acton town lines.

This Mark Mungeam design is a par 72 layout stretching from 5100 yards to over 6800 yards with four sets of tees.

Butter Brook opened the first nine holes for play on April 9, 2004. The front nine has the unique characteristics of three par 3 holes, three par 4 holes and 3 par 5 holes. The course features large bent grass tees and fairways and A4 & L93 grass greens for a superior putting surface. Construction of the back nine and practice facility was completed in October, 2006 and opened to the public on May 26, 2007.

While we are proud of the facility we are creating, it’s our people that make Butter Brook special. From our knowledgeable, cheerful golf shop staff of certified PGA professionals to our friendly and courteous outside staff, you will always feel special and cared for. Each and every member of the Butter Brook staff is here to make sure your time at the Club is enjoyable.

Butter Brook is designed in the classic tradition. The course is located on ideal sandy soils, among mature white pines in the Boston suburb of Westford. Following the classic style, the natural terrain was studied and the golf holes routed accordingly.

The existing rolls and hollows define the strategy for many of the golf holes. On the 6th hole for example, if a player is able to carry two left fairway bunkers that sit into an existing hillock, the backside slope will kick the ball further towards the green and reward players with the best approach angle.

There are four sets of tee markers per hole and great variation in green design. The greens have gentle rolls and changes in slope, to place a premium on putting. The bunkers, randomly spread through out the course define shot angles and entice aggressive play.
